At least one of the bodies uncovered at a mass burial site in a forest outside the Ukrainian town of Izyum, recently recaptured from Russian forces, had bound hands, an AFP journalist saw.

It was not clear, given the condition of the body, whether the victim was wearing civilian clothes or a military uniform.

Ukrainian investigators have accused Russian occupation forces of torture and murder in areas under their control, and the United Nations hopes to launch an investigation for possible war crimes.
