There are several reports by customers that Bank of America website and phone app are down and not working.
Users of Bank of America are reporting ‘limited to no access’ to their bank accounts or banking services.
According to reports, the outage, which has been ongoing since at least Friday morning, is affecting Atlanta, surrounding cities, and several other cities across the country.
Bank of America sent the following statement for the ongoing outage.
The company posted a message on its website informing customers that the problem was being investigated and that their accounts were safe.
“Some customers may be unable to access Online Banking at this time. Your accounts continue to be secure,” the message said. “We are actively working to make our site available again to all of our customers as soon as possible.”
“We’re aware some clients are experiencing slowness as they try to access account information. We’re working to improve the situation asap . Client information remains safe and secure.”
Downdetector.com’s outage map shows where the reported problems are occurring.
As of 11:00 a.m., Bank of America is trending on Twitter as customers express their dissatisfaction with the company’s lack of communication.
At this time, it is unknown what is causing the problems.
