A viral video surfacing online slows a blue snake coiling around a bright red rose. The video looks oddly beautiful and is a testament to nature’s beauty. The user tweeted this mesmerizing video with the caption, “The incredibly beautiful Blue Pit Viper,” and it is rightly so.

The magnificent blue pit viper

The video attracted a massive audience online, it has gathered about 70,000 views, and the numbers keep multiplying each second. Additionally, it has also amassed nearly 6,500 likes and more than 2,700 retweets. People had a lot to say about the video. The viral video shows the snake being glued to a huge blood-red rose, the snake gradually coils its body around the snake.

“The new addition to the family of blue pit vipers is an important event for our zoo, because these snakes are still being researched. Interestingly, a couple of blue-color snakes can give birth to green babies. White-lipped pit vipers are viviparous. This means that they give birth to youngsters that are ready to fend for themselves,” said Svetlana Akulova, general director of the Moscow Zoo.iety of the white-lipped island pit viper, and royal (ball) pythons were bred at the Moscow Zoo in 2018.

The blue pit viper gave birth to eight babies in late July. Zoo workers took several months to prepare the special conditions required in the snake’s enclosure. As of February, they increased the temperature and the humidity there, which helped in creating the atmosphere of early spring which happens to be the beginning of the mating season. All newborns were bright blue in color like their mother. The gestation took some five months; two-year-old snakes were considered to be fully grown. An adult male can reach 60 centimeters in length, while females are bigger and can reach 81 centimeters. The lifespan of a white-lipped pit viper is 10-12 years.

In nature, these unique snakes inhabit small islands in Indonesia, with their colors varying from island to island depending upon the environment of each island. They can be green, yellow or sky blue depending on the conditions around. These venomous snakes live mostly in trees and bushes and come down only during the mating season or after heavy showers.

There’s a rule in nature: the more beautiful something is, the more deadly it is. For example, the most colourful animals, insects and flowers are almost always the most poisonous. Things are no different in space.

The blue bit viper is not as harmless as it looks, it is a deadly snake whose venom can cause severe bleeding, both internally and externally. In case you are lucky enough to ever spot one, maybe consider admiring its beauty from a safe distance? If Voldemort had an option of swapping Nagini with a blue pit viper, we are sure he would have done so!
