Brazil’s former President Jair Bolsonaro was hospitalized in Orlando, Florida, due to ‘severe abdominal pains’ on Monday. Details about the politician’s health condition have not yet been released, local media reported.

The news of the former president’s hospital admission arrived just hours after his supporters caused havoc and stormed Brazil’s Congress.
The far-right politician was rushed to Advent Health Celebration hospital after suffering from ailments, according to local media reports.
His supporters were not happy with Bolsonaro’s election defeat. They attacked the Supreme Court and presidential palace on Sunday – a week after his leftist rival, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was inaugurated.
The invasion is being compared to January 6, 2021, US Capitol riots by former president Donald Trump’s supporters. Interestingly, Bolsonaro is an ally of Trump and took the support of military police to settle the situation at Brasilia’s Three Powers Square.
Bolsonaro, who appears to have ongoing abdominal issues, was earlier admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil in January 2022 due to an intestine blockage.
He was also stabbed in the stomach during his 2018 presidential campaign, which he won, and he has had at least four surgeries after that.
Bolsonaro stays in the US as he is being investigated in Brazil for his time as president
The former president is currently residing in Florida as he is being investigated in his home country.
He is allegedly staying at the residence of Jose Aldo, a veteran Brazilian professional MMA fighter and UFC champion, while being in Florida. The duo was photographed inside what seemed to be Aldo’s Orlando residence, which was discovered a few miles from Disney World.
The former president posed in MMA gloves and even had Aldo jovially in a headlock in one photo, as the pair smiled.
He is under investigation in Brazil for his time as president, and showed up in the US late on December 30. According to reports, he intends to stay in the States for at least a month, and possibly up to three months.
