Canada’s industry minister Melanie Joly said Tuesday that her country would push back if President Donald Trump made good his threat to double US tariffs on Canadian autos.
“I’ve been in contact with the president of Ford Canada, the president of Honda Canada and the president of Toyota Canada following the threats of 50-percent of tariffs against auto,” Joly told a press conference.
“Of course we’ll fight back,” she said. “We’ll fight for every of these jobs.”
