China says claims it was behind UK defence ministry cyberattacks ‘utter nonsense’

China said Tuesday accusations that it was behind a large-scale cyberattack on Britain’s defence ministry were “utter nonsense”.

“The remarks by relevant British politicians are utter nonsense,” foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said, adding: “China has always firmly opposed and cracked down on all types of cyberattacks.”
