Colombia’s Petro suspends intel exchange with US after Caribbean strikes

Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Tuesday paused all US intelligence exchange in response to Washington’s bombings of multiple alleged drug-trafficking vessels in the Caribbean and the Pacific, which have killed at least 76 people.

“An order has been given at all levels of the public security force’s intelligence services to suspend communications and other dealing with US security agencies,” Petro said on X, adding that the suspension “will remain in force as long as the missile attacks on boats continue.”
