Did White House Press Sec Kayleigh McEnany delete her tweets?

Kayleigh McEnany White House Press Sec delete tweets

Reports suggest that the White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany has deleted all tweets from the last 5 to 6 days. Her last tweet appears from “Oct 31” on her official account.  People are speculating that she may be deleting her tweets to eliminate any evidence that could possibly incriminate her.

White House Press Sec delete tweets from past several days

Kayleigh McEnany has however denied all these reports, she tweeted, “This is fake news. I have not deleted any tweets, but you should delete this patently false tweet.” She has denied all accusations against her for the “destruction of government records.” Despite Kayleigh McEnany denying these allegations, her tweets after October 31st do not appear on her account. Several people responded to seeing her unactive Twitter with skepticism, it is only natural that the Press Secretary should cover every aspect of such a monumental event. One user stated, “Feels strange that the white house press secretary wouldn’t have tweeted at ALL during the biggest week of her career but idk that’s just me.”

Kayleigh McEnany has been the White House Press Secretary since April 2020. She has had massive trouble with Twitter before as well. On October 15, she stated that Twitter had held her at “gunpoint” by locking her out of her account. Twitter locked out Kayleigh after she shared a New York Post story regarding Hunter Biden. McEnany is an active Twitter user with over 5.7 million followers, after sharing the Hunter Biden story, her account was locked out for a night.

Several people have accused Kayleigh of violating the Hatch Act of 1939, the Act applies to all employees in the executive wing of the Federal Government. Violations of the Hatch Act are investigated by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC), which acts as an independent agency in investigating and prosecuting allegations of violations.

A possible confusion?

However, there is a possibility that people accused Kayleigh McEnany of deleting her tweets because she has two Twitter accounts. Her personal account holds the username, “kayleighmcenany“, while her US government account username is “PressSec.” While Kayleigh has not been tweeting from her official account, she has been particularly active from her personal account during this election. Social media can be confusing and chaotic especially at a time like this.

In her interview with Washington Post last night, Kayleigh said, “We believe the American people deserve answers, which is why we are in court currently fighting in Pennsylvania. They want to count ballots that come in three days after. We have election days in this country for a reason because votes are counted on Election Day.” Kayleigh has been highly active in the election process, people might have confused her personal and official accounts. She said not given any further statement on the matter.
