Europe must ‘step up’ on defence while US focuses elsewhere: Vance

US Vice President JD Vance on Friday said Europe must bolster its own defences to allow Washington to focus on threats in the rest of the globe.

“We think it’s an important part of being in a shared alliance together that the Europeans step up while America focuses on areas of the world that are in great danger,” Vance told the Munich Security Conference.
