Houston-based fashion designer Asya Khamsin accuses Sam Brinton of wearing her clothes that went missing in 2018

The Houston-based designer alleged that Brinton has been spotted wearing her tailor-made outfits on multiple occasions after her luggage went missing at the Washington DC airport.

Khamsin shared comparison photos of herself wearing one of her ensembles and Brinton wearing the same outfit.

“I saw the images. Those were my custom designs, which were lost in that bag in 2018,” she told Fox News Digital in an interview.

Khamsin explained that she had flown to Washington D.C. to attend an event where she was invited to display her clothing. However, the disappearance of her bag prevented her from participating.

She and her husband filed a police report with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department. But the case was never solved. They also filed a claim with Delta Air Lines, the airline that she used to travel from Houston to Washington D.C.

Khamsin pleaded with Delta Air Lines officials to help locate her bag. She said it contained expensive clothes, shoes, jewelry, and personal belongings.

In March 2018, Khamsin communicated with Delta Air Lines officials. And her messages were shared with Fox News Digital.

Khamsin filed a complaint against Brinton

Recently, Khamsin saw media reports of Brinton wearing clothes similar to the ones that were lost with her bag. This prompted her to file a complaint with the Houston Police Department on December 16th.

Her husband received a phone call from the FBI field office in Minneapolis in late January regarding the complaint.

“Houston police, I guess, they [sent] the case to the FBI in Minnesota,” Khamsin’s husband told Fox News Digital. “He called to say, ‘I’m [with] the FBI, I’m working on this case.’ Then my wife gave him the information and we didn’t hear anything.”

The FBI declined to give a statement due to its policy against confirming or denying investigations. Brinton has not been charged with any crime yet.
