German govt vows to continue border pushbacks despite court setback

The German government said on Monday it would continue with its policy of refusing entry to asylum seekers at its borders despite a court ruling against the policy.

In a statement reacting to the court ruling, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said that “we will continue with the pushbacks”, adding that “we think we have the legal justification for this”.
