Video shared on social media shows hidden cameras installed in a women’s washroom at a private school in Karachi, Pakistan.

The Sindh Education Department suspended a private school’s registration on Friday and ordered its administration to provide a show-cause notice after hidden cameras were discovered in its washroom.

After discovering cameras in a women’s washroom at a private school in the city, a team from the education department launched an investigation.

The education department has received a report on the hidden cameras from the vigilance team.

Officials from the Sindh education department reportedly confirmed that videos of women were being made with hidden cameras.

The school administration, on the other hand, has maintained that the cameras were installed in the restrooms for “monitoring purposes,” local news channel reported.

“The Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Institutions Sindh found hidden cameras installed in women’s washroom of a private school named The Haracks School located at Chappal Sun City Scheme 33 Karachi,” a journalist tweeted. “The school’s registration has been cancelled by the Dirpis.”
