Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday called on the prime minister to “open the gates of hell” on Hamas if the Palestinian militant group did not release all hostages by Saturday.

In a statement, Smotrich urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “inform Hamas unequivocally: Either all the hostages are released by Saturday — no more phases, no more games — or we open the gates of hell on them.”

“That means no electricity, no water, no fuel, no humanitarian aid — only fire and brimstone from our planes, artillery, tanks, and heroic fighters,” Smotrich added.

He also called for the “full occupation of the Gaza Strip.”

“The removal of all Gazans from the Strip, in line with President Trump’s plan; the taking of territory; and the imposition of sovereignty over it — because this is the painful price our enemy understands,” he added.
