Shares of US apparel companies that rely on supply chains in China, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries plunged early Thursday as markets digested US President Donald Trump’s latest tariff announcement.
Companies such Nike, Gap and Macy’s fell by more than 10 percent after Trump announced double-digit tariff increases on countries where the chains import shirts, pants and other items.
