Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 Update Coming In A Month [REPORT]

Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 Update

The Redmi Note 8 smartphone, launched on October 21, 2019, is arguably one of the best phones by Xiaomi. Selling at an affordable price, the smartphone packs some amazing features and specs. For instance, the device has a battery capacity of 4000 mAh. Besides that, it also features a 6.3-inch IPS Display, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Furthermore, Redmi Note 8 launched, running MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. Currently, the device has picked up the previous MIUI 11 update. Xiaomi introduced the latest MIUI 12 update in April. And so far, it has been able to roll out the stable version of the custom Android skin to some of its eligible devices. However, some devices, including Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 9 Pro, are yet to bag the MIUI 12 update.

Earlier, in one of our posts, we mentioned when the Chinese OEM will likely make a complete global rollout of the latest update to the Redmi Note 9 Pro device. As for the Redmi Note 8 devices, there isn’t yet any official release regarding when the MIUI 12 update will be available, globally. However, according to a moderator on the Mi Community, it seems we’re now getting closer to the release of the update.

Last month, the Redmi Note 8 users in China were fortunate to receive the MIUI 12. Shortly after that, we heard that the company was testing the update for the device in other regions and could roll it out pretty soon. While the exact release date of the Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 update isn’t yet certain, reports claimed it’ll start rolling out in mid-October. Well, we’re already in the middle of October and there’s no sign that users will receive the update this month.

Many Redmi Note 8 users, who waited to receive the update this month, have now taken to the Mi Community to ask when the MIUI 12 update will be available. While responding to a report, a moderator mentioned that the update will likely start rolling, globally, by next month. Here’s what the moderator said regarding the update below:

“Seems like in a month if everything goes well.”

Surely, this will come as a disappointment to many people who have been waiting to receive the update this month. If what the moderator said is anything to go by, it means users will have to wait till next month. However, since the Mod didn’t mention any exact date, we’ll continue to keep an eye on Xiaomi regarding the update. And as soon as anything comes up, we’ll let you know about it here.
