Russia says hit Ukraine airfields, Western arms storage sites

The Russian army said Thursday its strikes targeted Ukrainian airfields and storage facilities for weapons provided to Kyiv by its Western allies.

Russia struck “airfields, control and deployment centres of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly shops and storage sites for naval drones as well as for missiles, weapons and military equipment received from European countries and the United States,” the defence ministry said in a statement.
