Russia says forces still advancing in Ukraine’s northeast

Russia said Friday its army was still advancing in Ukraine’s northeast and that it had captured 12 villages in the Kharkiv region in the week since it launched a major new ground assault.

“Units of the ‘North’ group of troops liberated 12 settlements in the Kharkiv region over the last week… and continue to advance deep into enemy defences,” Russia’s defence ministry said.
