“The Satanic Verses” author Salman Rushdie took the stand Tuesday at the trial of the man accused of trying to kill him, describing the events that led to the attack.
Rushdie, who wore glasses polarized in one lens to mask the injury that left him blind in one eye, swore an oath and began to describe the 2022 day when he was attacked.
