Schumer reading from the paper, “So now Mr. Madam Pres (umm) Madam President I ask consent to set the NDAA – No sorry Madam President…where am I?”
Also, Schumer in his speech on the Senate floor hits Republicans on $2,000 checks: “I don’t want to hear that we can’t afford it. I don’t want to hear that it would add too much to the deficit. Senate Republicans added nearly $2 trillion to the deficit to give corporations a massive tax cut.”
Senator Mitch McConnell objected to Chuck Schumer’s unanimous consent request to pass the House bill on direct payments for $2,000.
