Shooting reported in Danbury Mall, 1 girl injured

Alabama police plead for tips in deadly birthday party shooting

Active shooter reported at Danbury Mall in Danbury, Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon.

According to initial reports, one person is shot in the mall shooting.

Police confirms, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the upper chest.

According to a witness, multiple kids were seen running and hiding after the shooting.

CT State police says, “CSP is assisting Danbury PD with a report of shots fired at the Danbury Fair Mall. We are asking everyone to please avoid the area.”

Outside of Macy’s, there is a heavy police presence, with officers seen with their guns drawn. State and Danbury police officers, as well as the FBI, were dispatched to the scene.

There is no confirmed reports on how many suspects were involved. No one is arrested.

According to police, it is believed to be an isolated incident.
