ROYAL PALM BEACH, FLORIDA – There is a large police presence at a Publix grocery store in Royal Palm Beach after reports of shooting.
The location of the incident is at the intersection of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard and Okeechobee Boulevard.
Reports say many around the area heard gunshots from the Publix store.
According to Palm Beach County Sheriff office, three people are dead.
According to witnesses, the parking lot is cordoned off with crime scene tape and multiple sheriff’s office patrol cars.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tweeted, “Detectives are investigating a shooting that took place INSIDE Publix in RPB. Upon arrival deputies located three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, one adult male, one adult female and one child. The shooter is one of the deceased. This was NOT an active shooter situation.”
Crestwood Middle School, located nearby, has been placed on temporary lockdown as a result of the shooting, according to the school district.
