Singapore records 715 new Covid cases

On Tuesday, Singapore reported 715 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s total to 270,588.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Health, 700 of the new cases were in the community, five were in migrant worker dormitories, and ten were imported cases (MOH).

A total of 827 cases are currently being treated in hospitals, with 43 critically ill patients being intubated in the intensive care unit (ICU). The overall ICU utilisation rate is currently 53.3 percent.

According to the ministry, eight more patients have died as a result of Covid-19 infection complications, bringing the total death toll to 771.
