South Korea ruling party agrees to oppose Yoon impeachment: Yonhap

South Korea’s ruling party has agreed to oppose the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol, Yonhap news agency said Thursday, after his short-lived attempt to declare martial law threw the country into political turmoil.

“Multiple lawmakers who participated in a party meeting said they had adopted the stance of opposing impeachment,” Yonhap reported.
