Multiple people stabbed during a knife attack on a train at Brusells Train Station on Monday afternoon. The attacker then exited and attacked others on the platform. This is a developing incident while important details are still to come.
A stabbing at Gare de l’Ouest in the Brussels neighborhood of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek left many people injured as per initial reports. Brussels West police came into action and arrested the stabber around 3:00 PM. According to the tweet from MTV English News, Belgian officers killed the attacker who stabbed a number of people at a train station in Brussels.

The police told Dutch-language outlet BRUZZ that there has been a case of aggression in a metro train on line 2-6 near West Station. One witness claimed that the stabber had targeted women whereas another source told that at least one woman was stabbed in the neck. One report claimed that the attacker initiated his attack by stabbing fellow passengers on a train before escaping and attacking others on the station.
The localized disturbance is likely to happen in the coming hours as police begin investigating the incident. Railway service was halted after the incident and metro service delays are expected on the affected line through Feb 1. There is no official statement from the authorities on the condition of victims.
