Swiss firms will invest billions in the United States over three years as part of an agreement to more than halve the steep 39-percent tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on Switzerland, Bern said Friday.

“Swiss companies are planning to make direct investments in the USA amounting to $200 billion by the end of 2028. This should also include efforts to strengthen vocational education and training,” the Swiss government said in a statement.
