Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Rodriguez on Wednesday said a controversial deal giving the United States control of a chunk of her country’s petroleum reserves was for Venezuelans’ “well-being.”
Rodriguez said the deal with President Donald Trump would lead to increased oil production, which “translates into more jobs, higher wages, better public services, hospitals, schools and food.”
