US President Donald Trump said Thursday he had asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to not retaliate after Ukraine’s drone attacks on its airbases.
“I said ‘don’t do it, you shouldn’t do it, you should stop it,'” Trump told reporters, adding that Putin had told him he had “no choice” but to respond.
