TTrump lead started to magically disappear Surprise Ballot Dumps

Update: Twitter has flagged Donald Trump’s tweet. A message above the tweet reads, “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”

Amidst reports of voter suppression, robocalls, and electoral influence, Donald Trump has claimed that lead began to disappear from key states as surprise ballot dumps were counted by election officials. He tweeted, “Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat-run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!

Surprise Ballot Dumps?

Counting is only magic to those who don’t know how to count.

Several people have disagreed with Donald Trump’s bold assertion. Several citizens claimed that Trump and his right-wing propagandists are perpetuating lies. No one is actually stealing or rigging the election counts. One eye witness claimed that the mail-in ballots were counted late because GOP legislatures explicitly prevented MI, WI, and PA from counting mail-in ballots early. The apparent swings in Biden’s direction are real.

One user tweeted, “Actually, people with a brain knew that we would still be counting the mail in ballots today. Votes are counted after Election Day in every single election. What you’re saying is just objectively false.” Many people have questioned Trump’s intellect in asserting “suprise ballot dumps”. The election is still ongoing which means votes are still being counted till the results are officially announced.

“It’s not magic, it’s counting”

One user tweeted, “Magical dumps? Wisconsin officials have been saying for weeks that they’ll be processing mail-in ballots last. The only magical dump here is your conspiracy theory.” Apparently, all residents in Wisconsin knew that mail-in ballots would be counted at last. Residents of Wisconsin are mocking Donald Trump for not knowing the laws of the election.

Bob Segall, a senior investigative reporter at WTHR-TV, replied to Trump’s tweet by saying, “As VERIFY has been explaining for weeks, many battleground states—including MI, WI, PA—have lots of absentee ballots to count & those states explained the process would take a few days. Nothing magical. No surprise ballot dumps. Just counting all ballots cast legally and on time.

While a reporter from CNN tweeted, “More lying. Votes were counted. There were no “surprise ballot dumps.” People in politics use the term “ballot dump” to describe moments when large numbers of votes are added to the public tally after they’re counted. The term doesn’t mean that anything nefarious has happened.” More people are being mindful of these tactics in this presidential election. People are adamant about elimiting lies and manipulation, and upholding true principles of democracy.
