Ukraine’s state nuclear energy agency on Tuesday accused Russian forces of detaining and mistreating another senior official at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Russian-controlled south Ukraine.

In a statement, it said Russian forces had “kidnapped” Deputy Director General for Human Resources Zaporizhzhia Valeriy Martyniuk and called on International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi — who is visiting Russia — to secure his release.
