US Energy Secretary Chris Wright will travel to Venezuela on Tuesday for talks on a major deal which will see Washington take control of part of the country’s oil reserves, a US official said.
“Secretary Wright will be leading a group tonight, I guess, for tomorrow’s meetings,” the official said on condition of anonymity, adding that it will come as Chevron separately announces plans to expand its operations in Venezuela.
