US had no warning, does not support Moscow assassination

Washington was not warned in advance of Ukraine’s bomb attack in Moscow assassination that killed the Russian military’s chemical weapons chief, and does not support such operations, a US official said Tuesday.

“The US was not aware of the operation in advance and we do not support or enable these kind of activities,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
