The US military in Europe is ready for “any contingency,” as Russian President Vladimir Putin escalates the war in Ukraine, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Monday.
“We feel we have in place right now the capacity to respond to any contingency,” Sullivan said, noting that multiple reinforcements had been sent to boost Europe-based US forces at the outset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
