US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent vowed Monday to destroy Iran’s economy as he gave a major address on a new pressure campaign against Tehran almost six months into a war that has ground to a stalemate.
“Around the globe, our objective is to sever every economic lifeline that sustains this tyrannical regime until Tehran stands alone,” Bessent said.
