During a visit to Lyon on Monday to promote French gastronomy, France’s President Emmanuel Macron was pelted with an egg.

Video showed, the egg bounced off the president Macron’s shoulder area without breaking as he walked through a crowd while a protester yelled “Vive la revolution!” (long live the revolution).

According to Lyon Mag, French President Macron asked his team if he could meet with the young man responsible for the incident to better understand his motivations.

According to French media, a man was arrested following the incident at the city’s international catering, hotel, and food trade fair.

During a walkabout in southern France in June, a man slapped Macron in the face. The man was sentenced to four months in prison.
