Water services were suspended in the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday, Kyiv’s mayor said, after Russian strikes damaged energy infrastructure and triggered power cuts in cities across Ukraine.

“Due to shelling, water supply has been suspended throughout Kyiv,” Vitali Klitschko said on social media. The “whole” of the surrounding Kyiv region was left without power, said governor Oleksiy Kuleba.
