There are many rumors about the 2023’s iPhone 15. With a track record of intriguing product lineups, Apple has us all wondering what’s in store.

The rumor mill is churning, generating buzz and speculation about the upcoming features and release date. Tech enthusiasts can’t wait to see what surprises Apple has in store for us this time.

Let’s dive into some of the most intriguing rumors surrounding the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

Apple often launches the iPhone lineup during the fall period. For instance, the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus models launched on September 16, 2016. iPhone 8 & 8 Plus models launched on September 22, 2017.

Looking at the previous release dates, it’s safe to say that the iPhone 15 lineup will most likely be revealed by September or October 2023.

According to analyst Jeff Pu, the new iPhone Pro models might be pricier compared to the iPhone 14 Pro models. Pu suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro could start at $1,099, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro began at $999.

If this information holds true, the starting price for the new iPhone Pro Max could be around $1,199. However, there haven’t been any rumors about a similar price increase for the standard iPhone 15 models, which are expected to continue starting at $799.

We can say that the iPhone 15 will most likely take on the new design with additional features. Exciting developments are in the pipeline for iPhone enthusiasts, with a mix of both expert speculation and rumors circulating within the tech community.

As there have been no considerable design predictions for the upcoming iPhone, there will be two sizes: the iPhone 15 will have a 6.1-inch display, 15 Plus – 6.7-inch display, 15 Pro – 6.1-inch (120Hz display and iPhone 15 Ultra – 6.7-inch (120Hz display).

The new iPhone 15 might come in two cool colors: dark pink and light blue. Apple usually offers iPhones in different bright colors, and this year is no different. Along with the usual black, white, and PRODUCT(RED) options, you’ll probably find the vibrant pink and blue shades too.

3D printed iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models show that older iPhone 14 cases won’t fit. The dimensions have changed, especially with the Pro models having a larger camera housing and different design elements.

There are rumors that the iPhone 15 models will utilize stacked battery technology. This technology, commonly found in electric vehicles and medical devices, allows for higher battery capacity and a longer lifespan. While stacked batteries are already in use in other industries, they are still considered an emerging technology for smartphones.

The upcoming iPhone 15 is expected to upgrade its RAM. A recent report claims that Apple could add some improvements to its new lineup of phones in 2023. The current models of iPhone 14, including the iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max house 6GB of RAM. Apple will also continue to improve its camera specifications including upgrading its main camera to 8P and will introduce a periscope camera lens in next year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

Apple is said to be working on an under-display Face ID feature. However, it won’t be finished until 2025.

Industry insider Majin Bu said the upcoming iPhone could include two front-facing cameras along with 128 GB of storage. The two front-facing cameras can be huge upgrades, turning the heads of Apple fans.

According to an unconfirmed rumor on Weibo, the iPhone 15 might have a frosted glass back. This design feature has usually been exclusive to the Pro models, while the standard models usually have a glossy black back. The frosted glass is typically reserved for the higher-priced iPhones.

Apple could be making the shift to USB-port instead of a lightning port. The change could be due to the regulatory obligation to standardize ports in countries such as India and Brazil. The EU is planning to pass the legislation to pressurize Apple to adopt USB-C on all iPhones, iPads, and AirPods sold in Europe by the end of 2024.

The Pro model will also run at Thunderbolt 4 speeds for even faster and more efficient data transfers. The Thunderbolt 4 has a speed of 40,000 megabits per second. The current iPhones operate at 480Mbps. So, this will be a massive upgrade.

Apple’s analyst Kuo further confirmed that the 6.1 inch iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely have the periscope camera lens. This makes it possible that the feature will be available in the more expensive and high-end models of the upcoming iPhone.

With the introduction of a periscope lens, 15 Pro models will be able to provide optical zoom capabilities, which are pretty hard to achieve on a smartphone camera. These capabilities include achieving about 5x or even 10x optical zoom.

If you’re up to date with iPhone news and rumors, you must have heard of the term “modem chips,” which Apple is currently developing in-house. Rumors have it that these chips will most likely be available in 2023. However, it is not clear if the modem chips will be ready by next year.

iPhone 15 Release Date
