Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff on Wednesday said he had called for fresh US sanctions on Russia and more air defence systems for Ukraine in a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington.
“We discussed the situation on the frontline and the need to strengthen support for Ukraine in the field of air defence,” Andriy Yermak said, adding that he had told Rubio “additional sanctions are needed”.
