Alabama police plead for tips in deadly birthday party shooting

Three students shot in a drive-by shooting outside of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Three students from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School were injured in a shooting incident outside the school on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a message posted on the Orangeburg-Wilkinson website, the three students were injured by gunshots fired from a passing car during afternoon dismissal.

There has been no word on the students‘ condition as of yet.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize safety,” school officials said. “Additional communication will be shared as soon as possible.”

Students are being evacuated to the Technology Center at 3721 Magnolia St., according to Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

According to the school, parents of bus riders must come to the Technology Center with proper identification to pick up their children.

According to Orangeburg-Wilkinson, students who drive to school will leave once law enforcement declares the area safe.

Orangeburg School District resumed classes on Monday.
