9 things to do on a beach holiday

Next time you head to the beach, don’t just sit there and soak up the sun all day. Instead, make the most of the weather and do one of the fun activities on this list. Here are nine things to do on a beach holiday.

Make sand angels

If you’ve never made a sand angel before, it’s where you make an imprint in the sand of your body, like wings. The best way to do this is to lie down on your front and stretch out to make an angel shape with your arms and legs. Once you get up, brush away any excess sand and you’ll have a great memento from your beach holiday.

Throw a frisbee

Whether you’re playing with friends or getting your dog to fetch it for you, throwing a frisbee is guaranteed to be fun. Just make sure you don’t throw it so far out that no one can reach it!

Enjoy a picnic

Pack a car with all your favorite food and head to the beach. Eating while enjoying the great outdoors is always more fun, especially when you have an amazing view. Just make sure you pack everything into a coolbox before heading out, so it doesn’t go soggy.

Play at the slot machines

If you are on a beach holiday in Europe, try your luck at some of the many slot machines that line the beachfront. The UK is especially famous for its beachfront slot machines. Before you visit, you should consider practicing at Luckynuggetcasino.com . This way, you know what you doing when it comes to trying the real thing.

Build a giant sandcastle

It’s easy to get carried away with all the fun things you can do at the beach, so why not put some of your building skills to good use and build a sandcastle ? The bigger and better looking it is, the more effort you put in! At some beaches, you can even find sandcastle competitions to take part in.

Play volleyball

Playing beach volleyball is a great way to spend time with your family or friends. If you don’t have a net available, try playing as part of a big circle so everyone can join in. You could even set up multiple games on the beach for everyone to play at once.

Hit the surf

If you’re feeling brave, why not try your hand at surfing ? Hiring a board and wetsuit is easy to do in most popular holiday destinations, so it won’t cost you much to learn. Just remember to read the rules and safety advice on the hire shop’s website before you go. And! don’t forget your swimming goggles.

Get some exercise

If all the relaxation of a beach holiday is getting too much for you, why not try doing some exercise on the sand? Ideas include running up and down dunes, walking/jogging long distances, or even playing a game of beach volleyball.

Play beach football

Beach football is exactly the same as standard football, except it’s played on sand. If you get bored of normal matches, why not try beach football? Just make sure you play in bare feet to stop yourself from getting hurt or lost flip-flops for an authentic look.
