China will strive for “rapid economic development” and “consolidating national security” during the country’s next five-year plan, state media said Thursday, after a key meeting of the ruling Communist Party concluded in Beijing.
During the next plan — which will cover the period from next year through 2030 — China must “maintain strategic resolve, enhance confidence in victory… (and) bravely face major tests”, state news agency Xinhua said.
