A Boeing 777 heading to Los Angeles international Airport made an emergency landing there after the crew aboard the American Airlines flight reported a mechanical issue Wednesday evening.

All passengers were reported to be safe.

The flight, originating from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, landed safely at LAX at approximately 8:45 pm.

Upon arrival at the gate, passengers exited the Boeing aircraft through the jet bridge without any reported injuries.

The report mentioned a tire blowout, but AA officials only referenced the pilot’s suggestion of a potential “mechanical problem.”

The specific issue remains unknown.

This incident adds to a series of mechanical and safety concerns affecting Boeing planes in the past fortnight, marking the second emergency landing at LAX this March.

On March 7th, a United Airlines flight bound for Japan from San Francisco had to divert to Los Angeles International Airport when one of its Boeing 777-200’s landing gears fell off shortly after takeoff.

Disturbing video footage captured the moment one of the plane’s tires on the left side detached during ascent. Fortunately, all 235 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and four pilots aboard safely landed at LAX.

Then, on Monday, another United Airlines Boeing 777-300 experienced a midair fuel leak, prompting an emergency landing.
