Argentine stocks soared over 20 percent at the start of trading on Monday on reformist President Javier Milei’s rousing victory in pivotal mid-term elections.

Some stocks, such as those of Banco Supervielle and gas company Metrogas, were up over 30 percent, reflecting investor euphoria over voters’ endorsement of Milei’s radical free-market agenda.
