Reports suggest that some players of the Atomic Heart game are experiencing a bug that prevents them from saving their progress and does not save their last point.

The issue has caused frustration among gamers, as it is not possible to complete the game in one sitting.

Reports of Atomic Heart game not saving progress

Even though the game shows that progress has been saved, it does not actually save it. Players took to social media to post their concerns.

Some players have attempted to fix the issue by updating their drivers and reinstalling the game, but the problem persists. As a result, some players have become so frustrated with the issue that they no longer wish to play the game.

A user reported: “I’ve played the game for about 6 straight hours. Constantly going through save rooms to get my progress saved. I decided to quit the game and start it again just to find out the game didn’t save my progress.”

“I saw the game auto-saving a lot of times, I manually saved in the safe rooms four times, and all of a sudden the game crashed while using NORA and now I lost all my recent progress,” another player said.

In addition to this problem, some Atomic Heart players are also dissatisfied with the small size of the game’s subtitles.

Furthermore, the English voice acting is also receiving criticism, with players claiming that the dialogue sounds more natural and realistic in the original Russian language.

Some players are now opting to switch to the Russian audio output, although they are unsure how to enable this with English subtitles.

This option can only be configured from the title screen, where players can change the audio to Russian and the subtitle language to English.

Possible workaround

Thankfully, a potential solution has been found that may help Xbox owners overcome the problem.

According to a post on Reddit, forcibly closing the Xbox app and relaunching it may do the trick. By doing this, the remainder of the game will be downloaded onto the console, allowing players to resume playing as usual.
