Joe Biden issued a stark warning Wednesday that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “won’t stop there” if he is successful in seizing Ukraine, as the US president urged Congress to provide emergency funding to Kyiv.

“If Putin takes Ukraine, he won’t stop there… He’s going to keep going, he’s made that pretty clear,” Biden said at the White House.

And if Russia attacks a member of the NATO alliance, Biden warned, “then we’ll have something that we don’t seek, and that we don’t have today: American troops fighting Russian troops… if he moves into other parts of NATO.”
