President Joe Biden said Wednesday that a ban on Russian oil imports to the United States in retaliation for the invasion of Ukraine is not “off the table.”

“Nothing is off the table,” he told reporters when asked if oil could be the next target of unprecedented US and Western sanctions against Moscow.

The United States, together with EU and other allies, has already imposed sanctions aimed at crippling the Russian currency, commercial banking sector, airlines and other targets.
