Blinken expected to speak to Rubio on transition: State Dept

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expects to speak to his designated successor, Republican Senator Marco Rubio, on a transition, the State Department said Thursday.

“I have no doubt that in the weeks and time ahead, there will be appropriate engagement” between Blinken and Rubio, State Department spokesman Vedant Patel told reporters.
