Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will refrain from lecturing Donald Trump at a possible meeting this weekend in Malaysia and expects the same from him, an aide to Lula told AFP.

“There has to be dialogue to seek points of agreement” on issues like stiff US tariffs, foreign policy aide Celso Amorim said on Thursday ahead of the still-unconfirmed meeting on the sidelines of an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Kuala Lumpur.
