Elon Musk, the billionaire friend of Jack Dorsey, defended him again on Friday, saying the former Twitter CEO has a “pure heart.”

Musk responded to a Twitter follower who asked if Dorsey lied to the US Congress, saying, “Jack has a pure heart.”

Matt Wallace, a Dogecoin influencer, posted: “Cryptoculture influenced Jack Dorsey. He went from being a censorship supporter to someone who advocates for freedom! Respect for his efforts to repair the damage he caused.”

On March 25, this year, Dorsey, Facebook (now Meta) CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai testified before the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce about the spread of misinformation and disinformation in the aftermath of the Capitol Hill riots on January 6, 2021.

Dorsey is currently testing a competing social media app to Twitter.

According to media reports, Dorsey, 45, is seeking beta testers for his decentralised social app ‘Bluesky.’

Bluesky intends to be, according to Dorsey’s tweet “a competitor to any company trying to own the underlying fundamentals for social media or the data of the people using it”.

Last week, Dorsey tweeted, “nobody knows anything”.

To this, Musk responded: “Magic knows it all.”

Musk and Dorsey recently debated over the “Birdwatch” feature and the social media platform’s vision.

Dorsey previously apologised to Twitter employees after the company laid off nearly half of its workforce as part of the new owner’s ambitious revamp plan.
