Eurozone growth could slow while inflation rises in coming months: Lagarde

The European Central Bank on Thursday warned that growth in the eurozone risked slowing further, while inflation could continue to rise beyond recent record highs.

A recession in the eurozone was “looming much more on the horizon”, ECB President Christine Lagarde said at a news conference, adding that inflation could also go “higher than expected if there are increases in the prices of energy and food commodities”.
