Pedro Castillo was arrested Wednesday after Peru’s Congress voted to oust him as president, prosecutors said.
Castillo, who tried to dissolve Congress earlier in the day, “is a detainee,” said Marita Barreto, coordinator of a team of prosecutors dealing with government corruption.
